new surge of video game movies

I recently read something about a new surge of movies based on videogames. It seems that there will be a Warcraft movie coming down the line as well as a God of War movie. has anyone else heard about these and can they be confirmed.

Its allready been done. It was an Anime in the early 90's

Warcraft Movie, or World of Warcraft movie was the rumor? Either one would be really kick ass (I hope.) Also, what do you guys think is the best movie based on a game out so far?

EDIT: I just checked, Warcraft in 2008!!!!!!! Here is the upcoming productions (although a lot of you have most likely already seen it)
