I personaly think it's not real , for the sheer fact that shiggy commented.

Usually , he would comment on it when the subject came up at a press conference , but he just randomly made this comment to the press.

Also , he says 'we get to see who is the fastest'. Since when has that been the question? Sonic is obviously faster than the fat plumber,
