Using Animal Map is NOT hacking to any extent.Jongamer wrote:Hack
No cheats
Accually have to Rip the Save to the Computer, Uncompress it, Change the Town data to what you want using Animal Map, compress it again then Place it back onto the game cart.

I know, but I'm saying its not like anything thats hand done in a real hex editor. All Animal Map is, is selecting like items and pressing where you want them on the map and such.Skyone wrote:@gamemasterAS: So explain what Animal Map does and how it works. It edits the file, which means it edits the hex.
I'm just saying using Animal Map isn't real hacking and I don't consider it real hex editing. I just see it as like when you use a game shark.

I gotta agree with you on that. Hex editing to me is manually going through a file with a hex EDITOR and changing stuff around. Sure Animal Map changes the file, but as gamemasterAS said, do you consider a GameShark hex editing?gamemasterAS wrote:I know, but I'm saying its not like anything thats hand done in a real hex editor. I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

It does more than let you place items Gamemasteras, it Lets you Rearange the River to pretty much where ever you want in your town, you can completly get rid of the River if you wanted, you can Delete Neighbors Add neihbors, Move the Shops around, get rid of the Ocean, Remove all weeds with one click, Give yourself a 2nd house SOmewhere else on the Map.
I would consider that Hex editing.

That isn't HEX editing..........its Cheating
I loved Animal Crossing Wild World, but after a few months it just got boring. I had the biggest house, huge forests of exotic trees, loads of collectables stashed in a room, Sable Able was telling me her entire life story every time I visited, etc. I suppose it would have remained interesting if the gameplay time limitations were alleviated a little bit, such as make trees grow a little faster, fossils regenerate a little faster, and just speed up the pace in general.
The managers in my Gamestop keep insisting that a special Wii package is coming which will have all the accessories of the standard package, plus a DS Lite, for less than 300 bucks. I find it hard to believe, but if it comes true I may have no choice but to grab a Wii

I've hacked many ROMs & stuff. Trust me, hex editing means EDITING IN HEX!!! AKA you know how to count in hex, what each value means, where it's located, & what changing it to another value does.
Clicking a few buttons isn't hacking. It's just anally-raping the fun out of the game.
