DC-DC Converter Question

Post by schmellyfart »

Im using the PTH08000 to power my N64, and I was wondering if the 100uf capicator had to be a specific voltage. If so, what voltage should it be?

is just has to be higher voltage than the voltage it's capacitating. Capacitor voltage ratings just say what voltage they can handle before they blow up.

Ok Thanks. So I should be fine w/ anything above ~8 volts? Im using a 7.2 volt RC battery pack.

Would this one be good? http://www.digikey.com Part #604-1055-ND
