another movie making question

I want to make an animation out of jpg/bmp files. What should I use? Windows movie maker? does that take pics and put them together? any other programs? No trials please and I would like a free program. Don't have a lot of money. Thanx

BMP & JPG files have no animation. The only picture format that has animation capabilities is GIF.

I heard of a guy that takes screen shots of his computer and makes them into animations (flash movies) I have seen his work... AMAZING I just need to know how to do it. I thought he said he used jpg files to save screen shots. Anyway... help

The only program I know of that can do that automatically is Adobe ImageReady.

I'm pretty sure you can assemble them in The GiMP, too. However, it may not have a batch import function, so you might need to import all the images manually.

There's programs that do that, & exports it to avi.

I just use PRNT SCRN & PhotoShop CS2

Animator vs. Animation was made by taking a screenshot of Flash and manipulating the vectorized elements in Flash. The video on YouTube was converted from the .swf Flash animation, which you can see <a href="http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/Anima ... /">here</a> on <a href="http://www.weebls-stuff.com">Weebl's Stuff</a>.

You don't necessarily need Flash to make such an animation, but it offers animation tools far more advanced than any image manipulation program I've ever seen. (Tweening, audio, etc...)

So if you want to make something like that, Flash will make it a LOT easier.

Making a complicated animation in GiMP will probably be a huge pain in the butt. Search for a GiMP animation tutorial. You will have to make each layer manually. I doubt it has anything to help animators besides some of the rendering filters.
