Burger King's King Games Releases 3 New Xbox 360 Games

Burger King is now selling Xbox 360 games for 4 bucks along with a Value Meal. I heard about it a few days ago, and today my brother and I each got a copy of Pocketbike Racer. The other games are Big Bumpin' and Sneak King. Get it? SneaKing? PBR is really fun. We spent a lot of time in multiplayer. There are several race modes, but we mainly stuck with Battle Royale and Standard Race.

In Battle Royale, you roam around the courses, which are nonlinear, and knock people around. Standard Race is racing with powerups. You can race with bots or not. Splitscreen allows up to 4 players! And on Live you can take it up to 8. There are several racers and pocketbikes, each with their own stats.

There is even a character maker, which is a nice touch. The games look very good for an ultracheap game. I mean, these are cheaper than Xbox Live Arcade Games, but they are better than some. Over the weekend I'll collect the final two. I reccomend picking these up. They are being produced in very limited quantities and will only be available for a limited amount of time.

They will soon be collectors' items, and I can imagine them being quite rare someday. They look great on my bro's new HDTV. Yes, they are actually HD games. The quality of the games will surprise you, as long as you keep them in proper perspective.

I don't have the other two games, but I'll post about them here when I get them. Big Bumpin is also multiplayer, and is a bumper car game. Sneak King is a campaign, mission-based exploration game, and is apparently single-player only. All I know about it is that you sneak around delivering hamburgers. Get them while you can!

EDIT: The discs have two versions of the game, one for Xbox 360 and the other for Xbox, so if you only have an Xbox, you can still play.

Cool, I guess the next time I go to burger king I should pick one up. I only have a regular XBox

If any of you try the Xbox versions, I'd like to hear how they are different from the 360 versions. Thanks.

I thought there was one disk and that disk was xbox but played in 360 also.

hmm, I'd play them, but nobody seems to have dumped these yet.
And I sure don't feel like getting within 200ft of BK...but it is almost lunch time.

No, these are unique games. This is the first time two different versions of a game have been burned onto one disc, one that is for Xbox only and one that is Xbox 360 only. So you are playing a slightly different game on each console. I no longer have an Xbox, so I just wanted to know how different the Xbox versions are from the 360 versions.

Today we each got Big Bumpin. It is a bumper car game that takes place in a theme park. There are several different modes of play, like Last Man Standing, hockey, and Shockball (hot potato).

Like Pocketbike Racer, you can compete in tournaments or free play. There are several different arenas located throughout different themes in the park. You select an arena from a map, each with its own rules, and then you enter the arena.

It plays and looks like the Fuzion Frenzy vehicle games, with the same feel to the controls, same bird's eye view, and similar gametypes. Sometimes you forget which car you are, and the games can be confusing at first.

If you like Fuzion Frenzy, you will probably like Big Bumpin'. I played a little of single player and splitscreen, then went back to Pocketbike Racer. I still like Big Bumpin', but it takes some getting used to. I'll come back to it later. A guy posted videos of all three games on Destructoid, and he said he liked Big Bumpin' the best, but I'm sticking with PBR.

Right now, Pocketbike Racer is my favorite. I got first place in all 12 tournaments, and I have 9 out of 12 Achievements so far. The Achievements themselves are reason enough to buy these games, just to show them off on Live. Once these games are gone, their Achievements will become rare. My favorite level is the construction level. It is on the top levels of a concrete shell of an incomplete skyscraper. There are many shortcuts, including hidden ramps and concrete pipes.

There are even ways to get outside the normal area and explore large areas not normally accessible. I found a very well hidden ramp in the metal box area behind the finish. Also, in the parking level I managed to jump over the rail near the Burger King and into the center around the course. The cars, trees, and tires are all nonsolid. I thought it was pretty cool, but I couldn't get out.

PBR's multiplayer will remain entertaining long after you have mastered the single player. You will also notice things from time to time that you haven't seen before, like secret areas, hidden shortcuts, animals in the off-limits areas, and occasionally ways to break into those off-limits areas.

I don't have Sneak King yet, but I still think PBR is the most entertaining. Big Bumpin' is likely more entertaining with 4 players, so I reccomend it as a party game. Pocketbike Racer is another good kart racing party game. If you only get one, I say get Pocketbike Racer. Tomorrow I get Sneak King and complete my collection of these limited print games. I will add a review of it soon. The promotion ends December 24.
