Are you guys all out in the boonies or something? I know my area is pretty heavily populated; when the 360 came out, we had people camping at Target and BestBuy as early as 4, even 5 days in advance. I, for one, am NOT taking any chances with this!

DAMN!!!!

Just called the Target I was planning on staying at; they said that if you showed up any earlier than 30 min. from store opening, you would be refused and the cops would be called because it would be considered "loitering". What a bunch of hard-asses!!!!

Sorry for the language, they've just got me so pissed right now...

Go anyways, when I got my Gamecube I got there 45 or so minutes before it opened. Some people were there at like 4 AM.

When the doors opened, I ran in and back to the electronics section. When the manager yelled at me, I yelled back, "What are you going to do, call the cops?!" He did not have much to say after that. Got my two 'cubes, and left.

Yeah, they talked to me like I was insane; even the manager, who had at least SOME clearvoyance(sp?) just treated the launch as if it were any other day; oh well, hopefully it's just because it's a bit early to be asking and they'll be having a more official word later.

Whatever. I called my BestBuy, and they treated this deal like a party. Said they WANT the campers, encourage them, and are even going to let people inside for food, drink, and of course, games. I'll probably give the PS3 a shot there, too!

Not to mention the fact that my Target is literally a 30 second sprint from my BestBuy should all else fail...

EDIT: NEWSNEWSNEWS!!! Sam's club is offering the Wii ON NOVEMBER 13TH, THIS MONDAY!!! It's a package of some sort, and only available to business level members (ask your folks, mine have a business account there) but I really wanna camp. Plus, they're only getting 14 of them. What do I do?!?!?!

Is it only one store, or all Sam's Clubs?

If it's all of them, I will be visiting Sam's on Monday!

Like CTFan said, us North Americans are getting 1 million Wii at launch. Nintendo has said that they plan on shipping 4 milllion by the end of the year, and six million by the end of their fiscal year (March 31, 2007).

Oh and its not <strike>, it's < s> (remove space).

Honestly, I would go anyway. It could be that you were talking to an employee that's straight out of the target employee handbook (or something like that) and will be a different person than who would be around at the time.
