EDIT: wii preorders today, who preordered?
Moderator: Moderators
I NEVER preorder, but I did preorder a wii just now. I wouldnt have, except that the gamestop is about 50ft from my work. That, and all my coworkers were already going down to preorder.
The clerk said they were expecting about 50 Wiis, and they had about 30 of them preordered at about 10:30 when i got there (they open at 10). There was a nice little crowd waiting when i got to work. This IS a pretty busy area, so i suspect that most people will be able to get one on launch day, but some will have to drive around a bit to find one.

I think EB/Gamestop is the only place that takes them. The reality is, a preorder is not really needed. Personally, I'm planning on driving from Wisconsin to Minnesota to what I think is probably the biggest Best Buy in the area. Probably get there at least 4 hours early and camp out. There is also a Best Buy in Eau Claire (also less distance than from the Twin Cities) but I don't think it's all that big.
Anyway, the point I'm making is that if you didn't preorder, just camp out, do it old-school. You should still get one on launch day.

HA. Yeah right. They're all out. It's not like they're restocking preorders today! (Or are they?)usbcd36 wrote:I'm pre-ordering tomorrow. We wanted to go today, but there was a huge amount of traffic (at least 2 hours worth), so we didn't go.

If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.
