I haven't played it in a long time but there is Mu Online, you'll have to look for the site yourself. It's an ok game, nothing great.

Kings of Chaos, but I haven't logged on in a while (9+ months?) but it's like Kingdom of Loathing somewhat.

Well, this may not be what you meant, but you can get a few retail MMO's for free at the moment.

You can get the new Dungeons and Dragons Online for 7 days- just download it, and they email you a trial key. No credit card garbage.

PlanetSide, an MMOFPS, can be downloaded and played for free until March of next year- you just can't get beyond Battle Rank 6 (which is plenty to try out all the cool stuff, and become a very useful soldier)

Anarchy Online, a scifi MMORPG made a couple years ago, is also available for free until next year- no level cap or anything.

All of these are first party 3D titles. Planetside can be a great deal of fun, but prepared to get pissed at the laggy newbs who accidently shoot a plasma grenade into your back and kill the entire squad. Anarchy Online...well...its anarchy...and its online! Yeah, nothing spectacular there. DDO JUST launched a few weeks ago, and it looks fantastic. It's pretty fun to play, too.

Runescape only sucks in f2p, rawr. And the p2p version is cheaper than all those other MMOs. You just refuse to see its greatness.

No...they both suck. And don't try to make Runescape sound good becuase only the p2p is good. It means they only update p2p (I remember getting updates when playing, and they were all for p2p, new areas, etc), and leave the f2p players with nothing. They charge little for the premium payment (is it stil $5/mo?)
So, more people buy premium so they can play the part of the game that doesn't suck, and more people can buy the premium, because its cheap, and Runescape creators (forgot their name) make more money.

Oh, and I remember waiting for a year+ for the graphics update (Runescape 2), and then Bam! it came, and it sucked, and I quit.
