RC planes!

Post by Triton »

im startin to get interested in them again and am up for the challenge of getting my megatech airstrike to actually fly! if you dont know these planes have a pretty bad track record ,got mine when i was around 12, tried for a long time to actually get it to fly, failed and put it away, they are regarded as being too heavy, underpowered with too high a wingload to fly well, im doing what i can to reduce the weight and plan to upgrade the batteries and see if i can get it airborn! does anyone else here fly RCplanes

My neighbor does. He's got some freakin' small batteries, and they hold a lot of juice! (perhaps you could combine your hobbies... ;))

i really want to build a small electric plane, but the expense and expertise required scares me away.

the cost of the controllers is enough to make me pass it by in favour of other projects.

I'd like to make Rc planes that look like Star Wars ships, the Blade Ship, a Blue Eyes White Dragon, Lugia, and other such stuff. 8)

I prefer cars. You can't nose dive an RC car.

I was going to start into RC planes, helicopters, or cars. It cost to much, plus, with portables there is always the chance of it electricuting you or blowing up in your hands.

after posting i was left curious. i want to build a simple plane from scratch for super cheap.

did a google and found this site:
http://www.webx.dk/rc/wing/wing.htm
very simple, and looks relitivly easy to build. i dont know much about rc planes but it looks like it performs well in the video. the new lighter version looks even better!

can you control an rc plane with a rc car controller? do they offer enough range, and can you do without speed control?

Adding a Digicam or Digicamcorder (the CVS or Ritz ones) to an RC Plane would be awesome.
