NO backlight on the psone screen

OK the damn thing aint old its spankin new i was geting ready to hook my av cables to the slot 2 wires and when i pluged it in NO back light it only a slight flicker when i first pluged it in. I hooked the 5v wire to the damn thingy and still no backlight. no funny sound or anything when its on no burning smell im just lost

It's probably just a bad LCD tube light. If you are portablizing, just run an LED mod, or you can buy a new tube light; I think I may have one somewhere, but I highly recommend the LED mod. Saves a lot of batt life.
