kevens 1337 thats why.. and the game gear screen can work if it didnt suck so much. like remeber when i got mine to work for a splt second with out the TV tunner? well what happend was i was exploring that pin that only the tv tunner uses and acedentlybriged it with my finger to the composite scorce (aka a game cube AV line) and for a split second I got nintendo presents in black and white on the screen. i know that other fourms figured out that they use a tv a composite signal other than NTCS and PAL but it can be converted so if you want to take the time to find out how to input to it thats fine. but the end you will have a subpar screen with bad resolution and theres no way to resize it so any thing can fit on the screen. (remember the things got less resolution than a tv)

For the hell of it, I will explain it ALL TO YOU, madness, you owe me in services...no I'm kidding, anyway, here you go. The NOMAD, uses digital RGB, meaning it's a one way signal from the NOMAD board to the screen that cannot be altered, unless you use a special toy called a Chroma Decoder. From here I'll say, the Chroma Decoder will make you cry in a fetile position while you see the virgin mary pitiing you with mighty disgust. It's a damn impossible thing to make, it's like soldering apocalypse. It takes the digital signals, and decodes them to analog for other things to plug into. I haven't tried it, and making it would cost OVER the price of your portable. So in short, NO. The game gear has a special TV TUNER, that is applicable to the version made by Sega, its the one where the ovals next to the screen have colors instead of just gray: gray=Majesco, colors=Sega, got it? So the TV tuner helps you connect your game gear to you TV/get TV signals to your Game GEar, so it bascially gives a spot for Video and Audio (and ground, duh). However, the quality made people throw up and cry, it's crappy, and the screen is NOT passive matrix making it even MORE crappier. Imagine Dreamcast on a Gameboy Color Screen, it's THAT bad at moments. Nevertheless, the TV tuner itself is rare and hard to find in even the greatest antique pileups (EBAY, PAWNSHOP.COM, ETC.). So in short, I'll make a small list for you.

NOMAD: HELLLLLL NO!
Game Gear: Possible, but not worth it.

In short, no, just buy your own screen, better and actually cheaper.

I think someone on here used a gameboy SP screen for a GCp right? I don't know anything on this subject, but could someone else verify it?

It was N64p but yes, it's possible. You just need a tv tuner. Mainly external.

Using a GBA screen and a TV adapter would probably cost more than the Hip Gear Screen. They're both about the same size so the Hip Gear would probably be better.
