How would a s-video to composite cable be made....i have made one in the past...and then i lost it...and i forget....so, can someone make a fairly detailed diagram (cable to cables, pins to pins......get the idea?)

you can just combine Luma and chroma to get composite, but I found a site and it says to add about 400 pF capacitor on the line.

ok, but should i add the capacitor? Will it make a difference...and where can i find a 400 pF capacitor?

Yes, the capacitor is what makes it all work. I've built a cable without the capacitor and it sucked.

i just made the cable...it sux.....only looks good in halo...text aint readable! But that's just because of the Composite quality....can you tell me where to buy a 400 pF capacitor? I'm guessing radioshack!?

you could just find one on an old circuit board. and it probably dosent have to be EXACTLY 400pF. most of the time capacitor sizes are somewhat flexible.

anyhow, if youre cheap, just find any random brown circular (ceramic) cap off a circuit board, and see if it works. dont even bother figuring out its value.

i just found a 200 pF so i used it...looks a lot better, but i'm sure 400 pF would be better....untill i find a 400 i'll be fine i guess.

ok......i need to know where i can buy one of these, or how i could make one of these....

My speakers wont work on my screen......so i need to make a headphone adapter......and sorry to double post, i just didnt want to start a new thread.

did you tie together the 3 headphone pins on the screen? you need to do that to get sound

ok let's see if I can get this right:

on your female headphone connector you need to connect the audio signal from the Left line (white) to the contact for the first section of the male end of the headphone jack, for the Right (red) you connect the contacts for the section after that, then connect the ground from both lines to the contacts for the third section. You may consider putting a six contact variable resistor in between the rca female plugs and female headphone jack for volume controll (no point if ther's volume controll on the screen or your using head phones with volume built in).

I think that was right but I'm not 100% sure
