That cannot be done in HTML, but you can do it with javascript, I'm pretty sure. The good news is that you can have javascript within HTML code.

Although, come to think of it, I don't know if it will just print, or come up with that dialog box first. probably the latter

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Yeah, I don't know of anything that will auto print. You could try the mass popup attack, or have the window spawn 2 new windows when it's closed. (all in javascript ofcourse.)

Back when I had a spammer spamming my web site (just your typical brainless 13-year script kiddie), I looked at my server logs and saw he was using IE of course, version 5. Because he had a old buggy version, I could have some fun with him.
Whenever he came to my website, I had some javascript report back his screen resolution, and made a huge BSOD jpeg that size.
As soon as my server saw his IP, it loaded a special html file that had javascript to respawn 8 copies of it self, which in turn spawned endless streams of popups (they covered the entire screen with the BSOD image.)

The next day I looked at my server logs, it was filled with over 2,873 page requests, spanning over 30 mins. So that dumbass actually sat there with his computer spewing out endless streams of BSODs for half an hour.

He had a dynamic IP, so he could have reset his router to get a new IP but apparently he was too lame for that. His IP didn't change and he never came to my site again :)

In your case I don't think that extreme of a measure would be necessary though :)

With javascript, it pops up the print options interface. <a href="javascript:window.print();void(0)">Try it</a>.

Heres an evil script, it keeps opening windows:
javascript:while (1) {open(self.location)}

This one opens popup alert boxes:

javascript:while (1) {alert("Put message here")}

Then there are a few firefox exploits that crash it fairly quick... ;)
