I know your new, but search next time. Also yes the SNES is the easies. The only thing easier is the NOAC.

It's a Nintendo on a chip. Basically it's a NES shrunk down to a few glop-tops on a small citcuit board. (what Ben used for his Nes portable)

Well the PSone is easy to put together its re-packaging it thats the issue. I suggest the SNES or an NOAC NES because they're straight forward in what to do and easy to re-package.

Thats not really a very good tutorial, seeing as it skips the whole controller issue, as wellas connecting the screen. Nes is easiest, but it seems like dome one asks this about once a month.

Hi, thanks for saying that it isn't a very good tutorial.

Actually I think it is very complete. It doesn't say anything about a controller because you simply plug a controller in using the standard fashion with this simplest of mods. It is really only a battery pack mod, I guess.

No. In fact they have 100% compatibility (even lightgun games work if you add a player 2 port, like I did). Some do have slightly fuzzy video and sound, but it's not noticable on a smaller screen.

What are you talking about? To connect the controller properly, and not have an 8 foot wire hanging around where ever you go,you need to cut open the controller wire, take the controller ports off the psone, and solder it to the traces. Then theres the memory card, which you have to do the same thing to. Also unless you want a flip up screen like that, you have to wire the AV pins to the psone. Many people dont even use psone screens, so they cant just plug it in like that. Thats why I think it is not a good tutorial for noobs because all it does is talk about batteries, which are probably the most important part, but there is so much other stuff that is necessary, that the tutorial doesnt mention at all.

I was just trying out my yobo famiclone and noticed the sky in certain levels of SMB3 was white on my LCD screen. (It's a NOAC with a cart slot already attached) I think I can live with this as I'll probably be playing mostly RPG's on it, but it gives me something to think about while waiting for tact switches.
