I bought a sheet of what I thought was aluminum at Home Depot and cut it into a strip, but I'm starting to think it's not; I didn't think aluminum was supposed to rust this much.

Thanks for the feedback and quick replies. Sounds as if velcro will do the job, and if the batteries are still loose or in danger of touching soldered components I will look into making some type of housing for them. Thanks again and I'll try to get some pictures up soon.

Make sure you wear a dust mask or something. Those controller boards put off a fine powdery dust that you probably shouldn't be breathing into your lungs. I don't know about you guys, but I prefer copper flakes to be on the outside of my body.

Kurt_, thanks for the info. 10+ hours of battery life is a little much, so I took your advice and downsized the batteries a little.
