It would help to know the LCD you want to use beforehand, a PSOne LCD has superb quality and is cheap. If you want to connect it to VGA, it is fairly simple. It can usually be run without any extra devices, just a few wires between the VGA connector and the screen decoder board itself.

I was more thinking along the lines of interfacing VGA to those tiny portable screens (such as those used in cars for example). Those things have RCA (composite?) inputs and Im unsure how to go about converting VGA to that - is it doable. Also, on Ebay one can pick up "raw" LCD panels - Im assuming ...
