while I've never actually gone and tried to make a portable, I have bought MANY noac systems, and found out that the pinouts are not consistent. I made an adapter to go from a noac system to my running pad, and it didn't work on some systems. I never bothered testing as to whether the 2 or 3 ...

I bet that someone with the tools could make some decent cash manufacturing famicom sized (or there abouts) NES carts within the portablizing community. Think about it...you charge something like 25 cents a mini cart, and sell packages of them with or without the tool, and hell, throw in a sheet of ...

well my superjoyIII, when I put in NO cart, I get built in, but when I put in a cart, I get what's on the cart. There is no switch. The same was true for my other NOAC famiclone.

Is some switch being toggled without me knowing it?

I'm interested in making a portable, and I have the book and everything, and I'm doing all my research, and case design first. I'm gonna build mine from a noac, and probably with a 2player plugin and A/V out.

Anyway... is it necessary to disable the built in games? I have a powerjoyIII (superjoy ...

oh by the way...I never hooked my adapter to the powerjoy...so that prolly wouldn't work either.
