I really like Sifuf's n64p as much as everyone else, and I do know that he's a very experienced portabalizer, but I was wondering exactly how much of the 64 motherboard can be cut off ...

Take out the game. Take out the jumper/expansion pak, and put it back in. Now turn the N64 on without a game, just the jumper pak, for 5 seconds or so. Then pop a game in and it should work.

I guess I should have been more specific. The systems I have are powered by the power cord, and are still hooked up to the T.V. I have my Psone Screen but I haven't attempted to connect the 64 to it until I have found why it isn't getting its AV. Also, the power stays on so I don't think they are ...
