I don't shoot too many pictures, but the wife does pretty good--she'd better, we're still paying off her schooling. Actually, her demonstration of talent in this area is a large chunk of why I'm married to her.

here's a few pretty recent shots:

Re: Microsoft Zune customer support!

I'm not sure if anyone else here has a Zune or is anyone here has a Zune and has had technical problems...
A box is on the way, I just have to pop in my Zune and wait about two weeks for a new/repaired one.
I don't know... If it were me, and microsoft wanted to keep me as a customer, I'd insist ...

I'd say Dreamcast, Neo Geo or Atari 8-bit computer. They'd be nice portable. My definition of portable involves storage in pockets, so original hardware and storage media is out on them.

I've played a lot of games, but a few really stuck out as being incredible. Soul Calibur on DC and FFIII on SNES both struck me as about as close to perfect as those systems were ever going to come. Of course 'best games' aren't necessarily my absolute favorites.

There have also been bad games. ET ...

300 GB and 3,000GB transfer /month? Looks like a pretty good deal. Make sure to read the fine print, though... :?
I guess the down side is that I really need to be hosted on an M$ server. I pretty much shot hostmonster down last night.

Anybody know of anything with similar features and price on ...

it's definitely parallel with 'centronics' ends on them.

Wrong.

It's a SCSI terminator

that sounds much more likely. If I had to guess without looking, the ones at work attached to the printers in storage were probably gender changers, which this unit doesn't do.
Counting the pins on this, it ...

this site here mentions that centronics and IEEE1284 were the same physical shape but the pins had different uses in each. Perhaps this just switches some pins around.

seems like there's something I'm missing, though. Every so often I dig ...

I don't know why, but I always assumed sony was the company who decided on 16:9...

Movies are shot anywhere from 1.19:1 and 2.76:1.
so when I grabbed 5 movies at random
Films as seen in theatres are usually 16:9. When you walk into a movie theatre and look at the screen, you are most often looking at a 16:9 ratio image.

I find that hard to believe. maybe in some of those ...

Who decided on 16:9 and why did they pick it?
was there a problem with 4:3, or was it just that if they stuck with it people would not buy the new stuff as quickly?
Its because movies are made in widescreen. My guess is that it was too hard to make widescreen CRTs back then and so they chose the ...
