My Ipod Touch won't work. My idiot friend was playing with it, and put it in chinese, and when he was trying to put it back in and pressed a red button, and it reset and took like a half hour to load, and now all it shows is a picture of a USB pointing at an itunes logo. Its stuck on that screen ...

I'd keep all of it, cuz ya never really know. The Daughter board, connector and some of the shell can be made to put the D-pad from it into a 360 controller . The board can still be used to make an arcade stick, even with the analog sticks and Daughter board missing.

Just buy a new CD lens. Make sure it isn't a burner lens. I think any lens will do; take one out of a CD player.

lol, I'm aware of the battery situation. Just thinking out loud. So, I admit defeat. What parts should I salvage? So far, I just want the functioning stick and the accelerometer. Never know when crap will come in handy, right?

I saw a video in which a 360 HDDVD laser diode was used to make a high-powered laser pointer. I, unfortunately, don't have lasers from crappy formats laying around, but I do have 2 ps1's. To a more experienced modder, how effective would the laser be as a balloon popper?

Neither the Stick (part soldered to the board) or Stick Cap (part ya see and touch) are directly interchangeable between PS2 and PS3. The stick cap sits a little bit too high and rubs on the inside of the shell. The sticks in the PS3 controller are a much smaller version that what are in the PS2 ...
