I want to modernize My Atari 2600 4-switcher, PAL. I'm gonna start at the right end this time, the electronics.

The plan is to build a nice looking, smaller, battery driven, chargeable, coffee table placed, front loaded, heavier, white, shiny, button based ...

So, i know i can use any simple SPST switch now. The only remaining question is, does this (below) seem correct? Mostly thinking of the select and reset ones. could they be on-(on)?

Power - off-(on)
TV Type - on-(on)
Game Select - off-(on)
Game Reset - off-(on)

I think I have Video modded close to 50 or some Ataris. Could be more...

First question:

Power - DPDT Push off-(on)
TV Type - DPDT Push on-(on)
Game Select - DPDT Momentary off-(on)
Game Reset - DPDT Momentary off-(on)

Would that be the correct types of buttons?

Second question:

What other types would work to replace them? Could i maybe switch the switches out ...

I see all these portables and wonder, where are all the stationary builds?! It's like no one builds shells or just modify the original ones! (yes, i would like to have links to all case/shell builds of the Atari 2600 you know of :))

Then I guess there is only three parts to get it going. One, getting LCD screen plugged in. Second, getting the control going. And third, mount it all into a sexy case!
