ah, ya. i know where to get regular sized d-pads at, but im looking for something much bigger, and i dont want to make one myself. i was just wondering if anyone knew where to find commercially made d-pads. if i cant find anything, im going to use the circular thing from a nes maxx controller.

ya, i know what im looking for is big, but im sure i should be able to find one somewhere. i know they have something like this, like for controlling lifts and machinery. im looking for a basic nintendo type d-pad that is scaled up. if i dont find something i think ill just use a nes maxx controller ...

Finding a D-pad

I was wondering if anybody here knows of a place where I could get a directional pad. Im looking for something larger than what you would find on any existing console controllers, at least that I know of. I need one thats about 4cm across. I think Ill try two 7805s, and see how it runs, but now Im thinking I may just go with a dc-dc converter, Im not going for efficiency, but from what Ive been reading I think it might be less of a hassle than the voltage regulators Ive been using.

7805s in parallel for cooler running?

basicly what the subject says, im building a portable that uses 5v from a 7805 (which gets power from a 7.2v battery), but when i run the portable from the battery charger, the 7805 overheats, and the whole thing shuts down.
my question is, would having two 7805s in parallel make it run cooler? i ...
