Gamerdude Well, I chunked it long before you posted. Oh, well my bad.

I ordered another N64 and it came in yesterday. I plan to get back to working on it today or tomorrow.

Here's my to do list to get everyone (as well as myself) up to speed:
1)Relocate new cart slot on old mobo
2)Check ...

Definitely Galaga. Galaga is so much more fun with a joystick.

Hey, guys, it sure has been a while. You probably thought I had given up. Well, I haven't worked on it in a while to say the least, but I decided to start up again yesterday. So far, I have dremeled off the A/V and power ports and completely screwed up my cartridge slot. I had half of it soldered ...

Yeah, I know that I just want to be ready. Besides all I have to do is finish wiring the cart slot and do my first test and then I can start working on my tact switch wiring. I plan on doing a lot Saturday. Plus, I'll need to dremel the connectors off (a/v and power). If all goes well on my first ...

Hey, I know it's been a while, but I just bought a Dremel 300 series yesterday and I'm going to get some wood soon to make a prototype case before I make a plastic one (if and when I make a plastic one).

I meant the rosin-core in solder, but I don't find normal flux very interesting and haven't used it either. Here it is on Wikipedia. I should have specified. Anyway, I'll just deal with it. I'm about to start on the cart slot so I'll post pics of my test when I'm done! :D

I didn't get much done yesterday, but I did get the PSOne screen's wiring done. I'll try to have the cart slot finished and then I'll do a test (with pics, of course). If I am lucky, Donkey Kong 64's loading screen should come up. So, *crosses fingers*, I hope it works!

(P.S. Sorry about ...

A GigaByte is 1,024 MegaBytes, which is 1,024 KiloBytes. A Gigabit is 1,000 Megabits, which is 1,000 Kilobits. Bytes is abbreviated with a capital "B" and bits is a lowercase "b". Just so you know because it makes a big difference in your conversions. Bytes are measured by 2^x and bits are measured ...

I would wait until homebrew gets worked out on the slim (and is fully compatible). The Slim & Lite's NAND flash is twice as large (from 32 up to 64) and will make homebrew able to run much faster and do more (like much faster N64 emulators). Right now only specially encoded homebrew will work since ...

Okay, I stupidly removed the left ribbon cable connector on the PSone LCD, and now, after trying to solder a wire on to the +7.5V connection, the little pad to it is gone! I need to find another way to connect it. Any ideas? BTW, the connection on the back of the board is the same pad thing as the ...

Yeah, I know, triple post, it just doesn't feel right to mush it together! With the 2k resistor on my PTH0800 WAH, my multimeter read 4.3V. When I put a pot on it and set it to about 810 Ohms, my multimeter said 3.3V. Should I leave it that way? Is mine just a little bit different? I know the ...

You can schedule bids. If you know how much you are willing to pay, you just set that amount and tell it to automatically bid that at a certain time. If you set it for the last minute, you will win unless someone has already bid over that or someone set an auto-bid higher than yours.
When you get ...
