Hey guys, I used to own a Sega GameGear. A year back, however, I was playing with the audio connected to an external audio source, powering it with a Sega Genesis Model 2 or 3 AC Adaptor. The result? I got the case open, and C2 appears blown. All I see there are the two wires it connected to. What kind of capacitor goes there?

Wait, so the power cord is what caused it? Why did they make it so that it fits then?

And is there an actual GameGear AC adaptor? It makes no sense that they would make it so that the Genesis one fits, and then no actual GameGear AC adaptor?

Umm, I just used the Genesis Model 2/3 AC adaptor. Those are meant for GameGear as well. It fits the AC port fine and I've been using the thing for a long time.

Anyways, my screwdriver is too big to fit. I'm SOL for now...

So that means I need two wires per plug? One for the signal and one for ground?

I'm a newbie to this kind of stuff, so sorry if this sounds stupid.

I have the pinout and I'm trying to use some spare speaker wires from a bargain home theater system. All I need to know is how to get the signal from my Genesis pinouts to my TV's composite inputs.
