Re: Gameboy Colour - modding virginity...

If you dont mind some slight thread jacking I can post some pics of my GBC with psp battery, homemade charger, and built in charge port. I saw what you were doing and I decided I would do it myself.

Re: Gameboy Colour - modding virginity...

To charge mine all I did was take an original psp power supply and attach it to the positive and negative leads, not the ones you used cause I think my batterys way different. Mine is working fine so far.

I hooked the grounds up and still nothing, but I dont think my 64 is dead yet. Because when the screen is just getting power from its regular adaptor you cant adjust volume or brightness, but when I turn my 64 on using the same adaptor from a different screen I had that outputs 1500 mAh I can do ...

My wire for video is twice as thick as the original wire for the screen so dont think thinness is the issue. Isnt hooking ground up just the black wire I have on the power of the 64 and the power of the screen that ends with the r/c car adaptor for the battery, then yes thats hooked up. But why isnt ...

But my 3300 mAh Ni-Mh battery wont power it when the screen is hooked up so I guess I just need a bigger battery with like 4200 mAh or more so that they both power and I get some good run time, even though i've been told multiple times that my 3300 would power my portable.

Yeah when I bought it I made sure that it worked by testing it on my PS2. So the video signal just isnt working because of the wire. Thanks i'll try thicker wire to see if that works. To power the 64 right now im using the 7.5v 1500 mA power cord that cme with the screen that I just attached an r/c ...

In need of major help

When I was about to hook my N64 up to power I noticed that one of the little capacitors by the power plug directly on the board was damaged. So I tried swapping it out with one on a different 64 that had died. When I power it on with no game or jumper pak it turns on and the light comes on and ...

Good screen to use?

I was going to buy another zenith xbox screen but EmpireGames no longer exists so they cost upwards of $50. Do you think this would be a nice screen to use and does anybody know what the guts look like? http://cgi.ebay.com/PS2-INTEC-PORTABLE-SCREEN ...

Sure, i'll post it tomorrow cause I have to get to bed to be at drivers ed at 6 a.m. but the wiring for the power is the same as harshboys diagram. I could just take a picture of the wiring so its more accurate than a paint drawing.

UPDATE:

heres a semi-clear pic of my wiring set-up. http://img99 ...
