My understanding of electronic diagrams and applications is limited... hence my need for assistance, obviously.

P.S. My understanding of the meaning:

block diagram

n : a diagram showing the interconnections between the components of system (especially an electronic system)

Like I said, I don't know how to read a block diagram (and please none of that if you don't know how to read it you shouldn't be doing it BS. That kind of logic escapes me. I don't know how to fly a 747 but I'll still fly on one). I'm willing to learn but in the interest of time it is always easier ...

I am using the Linear Technologies switching regulator. It may be the same as the Nat'l Semi but I am going with the docs for the one I purchased.

There's a block diagram but on the "typical" usage but nothing that would tell me, solder wire one here, hook it to unregulated power in there... etc ...

I'm interested in using the switching regulator mentioned in the book. Anyone have success in using one in the Atari? If so care to share your wiring diagram?

I am a software guy (not a hardware guy) so please dumb down your diagrams accordingly.
