Hacking of Laptop screens possible?

Hi, I've got a broken down NEC laptop recently. And I'm curious if there's anyway I could get that LCD screen to be used for connecting to other devices (TV/PS2/other game consoles) to work.

Or perhaps some links links to tutorials and informations are appreciated.

If your not consirned about weight too much and you want a larger screen buy one that uses 12v. The PSOne sceen is the best as it uses 7.2v input (runs on 5v). There is another thread in the screen forum that has a 6.8" screen, that might be more to your liking.

hmmm... how i wish i can get it cheap.
I'm living in Singapore and my area sells PSone LCDs at about US$65/unit. :(

Yes I've read up on the RGB stuff and I just realised that it won't work. Sorry to sound a bit like a noob since I'm really new to this with limited knowledge in electronics.

I'm currently looking for alternatives other than the PSone screens since I prefer to have a slightly bigger screen.
