i tried using a 7.2v/ 2000mah battery but after a couple of minutes, it seems that the voltage drops too much for the ps2 to stay powered. would a 8.4v/ 3000mah battery compensate for the voltage drop? thanx

yes their is 24 batteries. im putting the ps2 in a backpack and am using some sony glasstron goggles for the display. i want to use it down the beach when i go on holiday, so im gonna need a lot of batteries.

the pack is made up of 8, 1.2V nimh batteries with a 2ooomah rating. I have 3 of these wired in parallel. when I used my multi meter it showed over 9V. all the battries were fully charged before trying
