So I talked with a tech friendly friend, and he said that lead acid batteries would probably be the best choice, because of the amount of cycling they allow. The only drawback being the weight.

I ordered a 7 inch portable TV Haier 7" Portable LCD TV HLT71 for a screen.

Still need to find out how I'll make batteries

Probably the biggest thing you need to work out is how you want the controls. AFAIK no one has successfully integrated a Wiimote into a portable - all of the ones I have seen are laptop-style with the sensor bar above the screen and use regular Wiimotes.

Portable Wii Battery

Hi, so I found all the AV cables and adapters that I need. Now I'm wondering about the batteries.

I heard 12V and +5000mAH is the best, but they are all quite expensive.


A bigger problem I would have is, how would I actually attach it to the Wii? Would I attach it to the Wii's wall plug, or would ...

Hi,
I'm thinking of building a portable Wii. I'm pretty sure I have the screen covered, because I have a GPX portable DVD player that takes in S-video (gotta find the adapter). I'll probably just connect that to the AV from the Wii and use the DVD screen as the Wii screen.
