A flash drive is much more compact, and I'm assuming it would consume less battery power than a disc drive - no moving parts.

The Sundriver itself, from what I understand, replaces the Wii's DVD drive using the same two connections. I was just hoping for a way to "trick" the Wii into thinking it had a drive connected.

Ah, I did read about that... although it kinda defeats the purpose of taking the drive out to save space ;P But that is probably what I'll end up doing.

Wii Disc Drive
Oookay, so in an effort to save battery life/space I took the disc drive out of my Wii. Nothing new here. However, using Wii loader GX (and, I'm assuming, any other loader) to try and boot games off of a flash drive, I get an error message unless I reconnect the drive. Are there any known ...
