one of the best and most widely used screens is the Sony PSOne LCD Screen. It has a nice sized screen for the portables and it has built-in speakers and an analog input. Really easy to take apart, not to difficult to sodder. Has nice easy to use contrast buttons and volume buttons. cheap too.

The N64 needs 2 different voltages to run. 3.3v is one of those needed and it needs to be fairly precise. That's where the Ti Regulator comes in. It is the most efficient and beat device to accomplish 3.3v

Iv seen a lot of portable N64s, and most of them are huge. but theres also a great amount of very nice designed small ones. like sifufs here

think about this, and this is pretty much for all portables not just n64. all you have to do is:

-take out the mother board
-hook a screen to it
-make it run off batterys

and that qualifies for a portable. well ...
