Well, the sound and video were all working fine until the backlight stopped working.
As for soldering the wire in place, I might do that tonight, as well as posting pics.

I am short of time though, as my prelims have started, and I have to study

Good news everyone. As you may have guessed from the picture, I have successfully made the screen work. It took me half an hour, but it works. There is only one problem though. My battery cannot handle the voltage. It is 0.3v under the ...

I hooked up my screen tonight, perfectly and all, but nothing happened
!!!!!!! I was tesing everything when I discovered I must have fried the av cable, so its back to the old ebay, to buy an official av cable

yeah, i decided that because it would be slightly less complicated, and (i'm not sure on this, but what the hay :D ) i gives it longer battery life.

I've already set up the power for the screen, which was working fine until the screen broke. But don't worry, the battery works fine (I tested it) :D ...

I've made a wiring diagram for the power circuit, but I'm not sure if its 100% correct.

And I know that the dc-dc converter says 3v, but mine is s 3v one, because I couldn't get a free sample :evil:

i am using a 7.2v ni-mh rechargeable battery. It has 3800mAh rating

EDIT: it was working fine for 2 hours, then it broke just with a click of your fingers

no, i didn't do the led mod . Another thing is that the screen colours are opposite from what they should be, and the image moves every 5 seconds

I think I know what the problem is now. The backlight is broken.
I realized this when I read daguuy's guide on how to make the n64p.

my screen has just stopped working. i had it running perfectly. I tried to cover up som,e of the remaining wires, and something happened. when i was doing this the picture just disappeared. now everytime I connect the ground to a wire, i get a flash from ...

good, good thanks, just needed to know. wasn't 100% sure. is the ground needed to be connected to the ports, or is it unimportant?
