Wondering if this would be possible?

To some how make a NES play roms. Have a usb port and load some roms on there. Or just make a portable that plays any roms with a stand alone emulator(s).
I understand the iphones and ipod touches can play NES games now. And a while back i had got this cheapo mp3 player off this site Pigpony.com ...
