would THIS work?

the old n64 is dead to me, mostly i can't run it and never had the adaptor. so im getting a new one tomorrow, with which i shall do battle, using a new strategy. my family USED to go on vacation a lot, so we have this random thing used in the car:

ok, still not working. i have +12v and +3v hooked up to 6 and 3, and then a wire hooked from 4 to the strip of metal on the outside of the motherboard. yet the screen still only flickers (the screen, running off of its own power source. what am i doing wrong?

wait...are you talking about what the wiring will look like AFTER putting it through a screen? because i'm not using the PS1 screen im using a 6.8 inch madcatz lcd.

ok, sorry if im annoying you guys, but i need to make sure im not making a mistake before i assume my n64 fried and go get another one (keep in mind I don't have an adaptor to test)

ok when i hook up 12v+ and the two 3.3v+, then i touch the 12v- to each of the three gorund wires in turn, they spark slightly which means NOT GOOd. waht am i doign wrong?

im giving this n64p tyhing one more try before i give up on the 3 power circuit crap and fall back on my DS. does ANYBODY know which of 6 lines connect to each other>? my multitester is new and it says they all short. so, help! please!

sorry, i have no clue what voltages go to what, seeing as on the inside two lines are labeled as "12v" but you guys say there is only one. AND, i don't have an adaptor.
