@usbcd36 If you replace the dvd rom with a non-xbox drive it will fail to read xbox dvds. And yes, you would want to use a mini-ITX psu meant for car computers. As far as I know it should work.

Some people are assuming that the xbox would require a inverter. I posted in the wrong thread but still as DC-DC converter is possible. Battery life would still be an issue but still even with the PSU shaved off the xbox would be around the same size as a xbox-360. And it would still be a large ...

The Xbox could actually be ran off of 12v... I will post a follow up later on this afternoon. It uses somthing similar to a ATX power supply but at lower watts.
