Actually you need 3 mm white LEDs, those are 5 mm. Also, 7000 mCd is a little low, I'd go with around 12,000 at least, that's what I used and it looks good.

Rub the LED on some very fine sandpaper before you put it in to diffuse it, this will make the lighting more even.

On the back side of the psone screen motherboard is a FFC connector, there's a little brown tab on it at the plug end. Just lift up on this brown tab with a screwdriver or your fingernail and you will hear it pop up, then the ribbon will slide out easily.

Alright we finally got our internet back and I want to start on this portable again now....still have question though:

I'm going to do the antiglare mod and I took off the ps1 screen case. Now I have to unplug the screen from the curcuit board and i already have the top white plug unplugged but ...

Oh. Well, on the psone screen if you're using that, the connectors on the bottom can be removed, or you can solder straight to them, or you can solder to the contacts on the back side, or you can cut the wires from the plug and solder there.

On the n64 for power and AV you can solder to the pins ...
