I recently disassembled my old laptop, i have the old EL paper backlight from the keyboard.
i have a few questions.
A. what is the average voltage and current used
B. can it be cut to a different shape
C. is there an easier way to solder to it rather then try to solder the ribbon cable

All parts are sold as is everything should work laptop would not boot so im assuming it was the mobo thats fried

its easy for small simple things but i need it for a 15.4" laptop with perscion screw holes and if one screw hole comes out wrong i have to do it again, and how well does that material hold up to high heat and would i be able to make it come out crystal clear.

well i do have a large spot on the inside of my computer where the better models had bluetooth but mine didnt come with it.
as far as voltage my computer runs on 12-15 volts so i dont think it would be too hard to wire up, if leds wont work i could use cathode tubes or strip lights

ok so i messaged a couple of companies about quotes hopefully the will be moderately affordable.

i would spend 2-300 bucks on it, and it is mostly disassembled right now any was so i can paint it, and disassembling computers and laptops is no problem because at work i to repairs for most computers
and i guess it doesn't have to be an exact replica i just need a clear body for it.
