DVD Player Batteries

I've been looking for batteries to power my N64p and have heard a lot of people mention using a rechargeable battery pack from a portable DVD player. Supposedly they are easier to use because they have a protection circuit built in and simply be wired right into the portable. In particular, I had ...

Re: overclocking question

From looking at some other threads, it definitely looks as though the colored N64's are the console of choice to overclock (sounds like they have some kind of revision - I know marshall mentioned a different CPU a few posts up). Anyway, is it even worth trying to overclock an original black console ...

Re: overclocking question

Thanks for the link!

Does anyone know how much extra heat this will generate? I just don't want to start creating more problems than I need to. If it is going to cause a lot of overheating, any tips for what would cool it down the best (heatsinks, thermal paste, fans, etc.)?

Re: n64p battery question

so anyway, about those batteries... :D

I had heard that it was easiest to use a battery from a DVD player or something, since the circuit is already set up for you. I've been looking at the Polaroid bt-50 model, but that's only 4400 mAh. Is this going to be enough, or should i look for something ...

Re: n64p battery question

This might be a stupid question, but what mAh rating should you be looking for to put in an N64. Is 5000 mAh necessary?

Re: WTS: 7.4v 4200mAh Li-(Ion?Po?) Battery+Other stuff

I might be interested in DVD batteries. I can see from the picture that it's a Polaroid, but do you know the model number?

Re: Official PS One Screen vs. Zenith

Okay thanks! I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be creating more problems for myself by going with something other than the Sony one.

Official PS One Screen vs. Zenith

Hi, I'm pretty new to this whole modding thing, so feel free to just direct me somewhere if this has already been addressed. I'm looking to build an N64 handheld and am in the processes of acquiring parts. From reading through the forum, it sounds like the PS One Screen by Sony is the preferred ...

WTB: Nintendo 64 Expansion Pack

Hi, I'm looking to build my own handheld N64 and was wondering if anyone had an extra expansion pack lying around that they would be willing to sell. I already have an extra console, but it only has a jumper pack and I was hoping to include the expansion. I would prefer if it was an official ...
