Sorry, but it's supply and demand. Maybe $60, but you have to consider what an unmodded N64 goes for, and the fact that you can get a Gamecube for abot $70. You'd need to find a hardcore N64 fan.

There's also ports to GBA and DS. I thought this scene was about authenticity.

Since the whole point seems to be taking a console and making it into a handheld, why not take a handheld and make it into a console? How hard would it be to build a Game Boy into an NES? It was more powerful than the NES already, just got to deal with the monotone colors. THoughts?

Okay, I probably phrased that wrong; what's the best way to go about cutting wholes in the PSOne case to fit the buttons? I was thinking of maybe drilling the Shape buttons, but I'd rather for the shoulder and D-pad it was like a pumpkin.

How'd you go about carving out the buttons? I read Xacto knife, but I image that had to be some rough cutting.

I don't really see myself playing any RPG outside of Final Fantasy VII or Chronicles, so I might skip that if I go the PSOne route.

Now is it absolutely necessary to put in analog sticks if you're not going to play Ape Escape? I'm assesing whether to make something like this or not, and quite frankly I don't need the stick for Metal Gear Solid or Gundam Battle Assault 2.

From experience I'd recommend against tweaking the laser. I've tried it on both my PS2 and DC and had a bad experience both times.

As for the keyboard, if you go to your local Gamestop they probably have one hidden away somewhere. Mine was about $1 close to 9 months ago.

I've checked a few of those out; Faux-Cel-Shaded Mario 64 is great.

I think you'd need some kind of rom hacking tool that'll let you replace the textures in the game. So far the only one I've seen that'll let you do that for the N64 roms is the Goldeneye/PD editors, but if I hadn't heard of this I ...
