I got a broken cd player opened it up and found a few parts in it i thought i could put to use in the Psone project. Specifically i found tact switches, but i don't know what size they are or even if they work. Is there a way you can tell

any kind of tact switches will work, but if you're using the book than only certain sizes will fit correctly

Say you want to connect one wire to a tact switch. Which lead(s) do you conect the one wire to. or how do yuo connect it?

Connect to opposite diagonal leads!
For example:
AB
CD
Then connect wires from A to D, or from B to C.

On pin 'B' you would solder the command, say 'R1', then on 'C' (diagnol from 'B') you would solder ground. It's always command, then diagnol from it ground. Thank you, please come again.

There are 4 leads. Two pairs are connected. The diagonals are connected when you press the button. I think there's 4 leads for stability purposes.
