Bypassing Connections Question.

Post by jeffslot »

Hello,

I have cut my board into a nice 4 x 4 square, & would like to proceed to the next step: Bypassing Connections (page 459).

Can anyone show a picture of what the correct bypass should look like. Thanks

Here. I made it myself. But be warned it is NOT the one in the book. It is a different one from the site. Almost everything is the same, it just doesn't show all of the different spots being labeled.

Also: The yellow lines are supposed to be wires.

EDIT: Don't worry about spot F.

Hello, all.

I am very new to all of this stuff, but I got Ben's book today and dove in.

Got as far as step two on page 459 and I am stumped.
Even looked at Squee!'s picture and I still do not get it.

What is hanging me up is that the left hand "Y" spot on my 4" board is just a hole. Is there suppossed to be something there? If I yanked the resistor off from the other side of the board, it would show light.

Did I miss something here?

Even this kid's site does not help (but it did help with the first two wires!). I am talking about the fourth picture down the page.

Please help! I know I am doing this out of order, but I would rather destroy the $2 yardsale Atari than the $119 LCD TV while getting my feet wet.

I think the web guide created by Ben (and later made for the forum by HK-47) does a good job showing what to do. I've done this several times, so I think I can help a bit :)

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.
