one word -- TreamCast

Post by Hso »

XD I apologise if someone has already mentioned it here already, but i've only just learnt of it's existance :o
I was chatting in an IRC channel just now, and apparently some company is releasing a DreamCast2, so i decided to research, and to my surprise.... not a single mention of it ~_~
On the other hand, I read about the HK cloned Dreamcast, aka., TreamCast :o It appears to be portable and has a fliptop LCD screen. how nice :P
2 people are selling them on ebay :S i wish i had some money :/

If you already have a Dreamcast, you could achieve the same thing by attaching a PSOne screen to the back of the Dreamcast. :)

The Treamcast isnt really much of an improvment over the orignal. It has a 5" LCD, is usulally bundled with a VCD kit and the PSU is changed (I believe) to a DC-DC coverter.

Yeah, and I hear the build quality of the case and stuff really blows. There are reviews online that are quite disappointed with it. It also tends to be more expensive than a Dreamcast and screen separately (now that DC systems can be had for $24 or less shipped from EBgames.com - I just bought a second one) :)

The DC-DC converter is where the modem used to be as I recall. This is nothing but the original DC in a new case.

Yeah, it's so shady and overpriced. I think it's the biggest waste of money. The only cool thing about it is the case it comes with.

Yeah, the Saturn-style pads interest me, but nothing else. The fuss it caused on the net when it first surfaced was unreal - if I had a few hundred grand to invest, I'd wait a few years, buy a warehouse full of slimline PS2s, stick them in a cheaply fabbed box with a crappy screen and call it the PS4...
