FC Game Console USA Version Inquiry

Post by Great Hierophant »

I have bought the console named above, the official name for the 72-pin version of the Neo-Fami, and I want to know if others who boguth it had the same problems. The following games are glitchy or don't work at all:

After Burner (semi-playable, many map tiles not displayed)
Bandit Kings of Ancient China
Castlevania III - Dracula's Curse (hangs when you enter a level)
Gauntlet (Licensed or Unlicensed) (wrong map tiles)
Gemfire
L'Empereur
Laser Invasion (extreme graphics glitches)
Nobunaga's Ambition II
Rad Racer II (wrong map tiles)
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II
Uncharted Waters

I find this unusal because the Famicom versions of many of these games should work with a Neo-Fami. As the two consoles only differ in pinouts, I wonder if I may have received a faulty unit or other people have experienced the same problems with their FC Game Console USA Version. Has anyone with this console tried any of these games and got them working correctly in either a Neo-Fami (with a pin converter) or the 72-pin FC Game Console USA Version?

I don't have any of those games, but out of all the carts I have, the only one that doesen't work is The Legend of Zelda. (the original that was painted gold).
Dude, it's Duck Hunt.

How about "Rolling Thunder" by Tengen?

Are these cartridges simply incompatible with the Yobo? If so, I'll stop getting replacements from EBgames!

Thanks

With some major spam and eggs I could easily get to 3716. But no, I don't have an answer. I was just amazed that it was your first post.
