This gets a huge "WTC" fom me. I would have bought a Revolution, but I can't see myself owning a "whee"

If the name was changed earlier this month I wouldn't have believed it, butI guess they are serious about this.

Theres a poll on IGN. 30% like the name, 70% don't. Almost all of the posts on Gamespot are negative, so are all the comments on Joystiq. Seems Nintendo really tanked on this one.

Then I brag about playing with my 'wee'.

Wii is an awesome name. I remember back when the PlayStation was popular, it was such a cheesy name. Now, does anyone think it's cheesy?

Have an open mind. Nintendo is taking some risks. But what matters is the console and game, not the name.

Seriously, the dumbest name for anything EVER. Sure, "Playstation" sounded like something you'd have in kindergarten "Children, now go to your PLAYSTATIONS" but at least it meant something.
