where did you get the 2 battery cells? ive tried looking on ebay but i keep finding people with c or d cell batteries that you would have to hook up to a seperate charger each time, and not nearly as small.

if all the controller ports were to be added, would a toggle switch have to be installed for the first player's controls? to determine weather or not he is using the built in controller or the player one controller socket.

You could probably put a switch on the 3.3v line or ground line, or both with a DPDT switch. Or if you wanted to get real fancy you could put some sort of lever switch inside the controller port so when one is inserted it automatically switches.

Mario used a relay on his A/V out, which did the same thing.

ok im using the battery cells off a portable dvd player for my portable, how hard would it be to solder on a recharging port? i used the battery of the polaroid pdv-0700 moddle. can i just make trip down to home hardware to get the recharging port?

Drill? Drill press? Dremel? Really good with a soldering iron? Use your head? Search the internet for "How to drill acurate holes" and I'm sure you'll find something.
