Re: Bush's tiny N64p: The Whacka 64 (FS/Commission!)
I watched your vid, looking good. I saw you were wanting to use some smaller speakers, can I recommend using these: Apple 14" iBook G4 Power Switch Speaker cable
the dimensions are: (left speaker) 45mm x 20mm x 9mm(thick) ..(right speaker) 58mm x 20mm x 9mm
if you take it apart the actual speakers are about 18mm diameter and about 5mm thick. But you know that the ibooks speakers sound good, especially for their size.
The right speaker unit thing is bigger because it also has the tact switch for the power button. if you wanted to use that tact as your on off switch you could make a bistable flip-flop like this...

But yea, just an idea. If your going small, then these are perfect.

Eh, don't want to spend more money, but I'll keep it in mind. Second video is uploading; screen and amp are wired up!

That jumper pak is huge, and heat is definitely not the reason for crashing.

Like i said at the end, wiring issue. Watch the whole thing before you post.

Ok, problem time. My power adapter just failed somehow, no clue how. I got the system to run from a battery, but now no power is running through it. Either they are now dead, or the PCB locked. Does anyone have a power adapter they want to sell?

I do, but I'm in NZ
..you probably want to find one local.
could it have anything to do with the fact you kept poking the n64 board while it was on? that's generally not a good idea lol

Poking? I was touching the surface of the main chips to check their temp. This happened long after the video. I believe the batteries are just dead, the charger indicates they are charging, but the adapter is fried for sure.

Sorry, my mistake. In the vid it looked like you were touching other parts of the board & the legs of the main IC's as well as the tops.
