I'd like a better look at that joystick. from the picture, it looks like a ball with a groove in it. is that really what it is?
Yea it is similar to the Sega Oem joystick but it has a groove in it for the thumb to sit in. Much better than the original.

*Sniffle*... That's beautiful...

Me and my Fiancee both looked at it and were like "Dude, that totally looks mass-produced."

One flaw I saw (Or I think I saw) was that the button in the center looks like its at a slight angle. But its fricken beautiful... I want one, lol.
Please keep an eye on my HBN64 progress.

Yea it moves a little bit side to side... but the board is epoxied in now and I can't change it.

Oh well at least I know it's mine when I see it in the parking lot :P

Oh, okay, that's a much better angle on it. From the over-head picture I thought it didn't actually have a stick to it but was just a ball with a groove in the center. It looks like its really comfortable and won't throw your thumb off of it.

overall it is a great portable.

That really is amazing, great job, would you ever consider making a limited quantity of these and actually selling them? even if the price was crazy I gotta say i'd still consider buying one :p great job again ;D

Would you be willing to post a tutorial on how to make it + how much the materials cost? Or maybe just making some to sell? I really want one of these, the dreamcast is one of my favourite consoles (as well as the SNES...)

No I am not going to make these to sell.

It takes WAY to much effort to make this and even if I had the case manufactured it would still take to much time.

And it costs around $260 to make one so I would have to sell them for around $800 and then I would be making minimum wage for it.

It's a labor of love for the joy of doing it :)

I second this. It would look good on a university CV.

Well well. This is something seriously worth the credit. kudos to your work. I think its cool how you made both portables Out of the same casing design. I really like how sleak and nice it looks. Perfect choice in a name,, considering it reminds me of storm troopers.
Glad Solar Egg is modder, Now im still in line for: Youngest Portabalizer.
Portables soon to come: Ninelevendo64, Sega Nightmare, PSPlayGround.... Image
