Then we'd have a new cash crop for our farmers, plus they could tax it and use the money for, well whatever they use the zillions they must make on cigarette tax for. Plus maybe it'd eat into the use of these other "worse" drugs.

Seriously, pot smoking is probably right up there with "file-sharing" as the (usually) unprocescuted illegal thing done by the most number of people. Can you imagine if the government started a "War on Downloads"? How stupid would that be? Same thing.

Booze kills, it's legal. Cigarettes kill, probably even more than booze, it's legal. Hell cars kill and they're legal too.

I find it ironic that the powers that be (or just the media maybe) is pushing all this anti-smoking stuff yet some towns and states are themselves pushing PRO weed laws. It makes the mind reel...

They banned smoking in bars/restaurants here in Madison and ALREADY it's slowly getting repealed - probably because it was passed by people who don't smoke OR go to bars. Face it surgeon general - a LOT, and I mean A LOT, of people smoke.

We will NEVER become a society filled with vice-less robots. If we try to create one we get the 1920's all over again and organized crime to supply those with vices.

Crap I've probably just opened a can of worms.
