What's this? A new Atari portable!?

It's alive! Still no controls connected, but that will come soon.





I kept the right/left image switch - no real point in taking it out. I suppose if you wanted to increase your difficulty you could play games this way.


I still need to add a DPDT switch for toggling between the 40 built-in games and a cartridge, but that shouldn't take long. What do you guys think of the volume dial next to the screen? I'm still fiddling with it to get it to look just right.

I think it should be sideways like on the old gameboys. Really like what you're doing with the case.

I added the toggle switch for going between the built-in games and playing with a cartridge. It worked on the first try, which always makes me happy

Well, yeah - the boNES and the Atari portable would have been done if it hadn't been for stupid little things happening. I put in the time, they both worked briefly, so I'm just going to call it "good enough" and move on to more interesting stuff. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to drooling over techknott's PS2 portable...
